Living between the quiet hills, ancient glens, and salt-kissed winds of the Isle of Man, I create stories and illustrations that offer a place of peace, comfort, and gentle magic. I am an Isle of Man artist and author, and my work is rooted in the wildness and tenderness of this beautiful island I call home.
I write and illustrate Tales of The Glen, a cosy fantasy world where creatures speak, nature has opinions, and small acts of kindness ripple outward like light across water. My stories are read by children, grown-ups, grandparents, teachers, carers, and dementia patients around the world, each finding their own reflection in the soft wonder of the Glen.
What began as a quiet personal project has grown into an international readership, with thousands of books finding homes across the UK, USA, Europe, Canada, and Australia. The community that has formed around The Glen is one of the greatest joys of my life: a gathering place where people share warmth, stories, memories, and encouragement with one another.
I write illustrated fantasy books, make art infused with Manx folklore, and craft cosy visual stories that wander between imagination and nature. Every creature and leaf in The Glen is made with care — with AI-assisted artistry.
The Isle of Man is at the heart of everything I make.
Its glens, mists, stone walls, and gentle wildlife shape the tone of my work. The island’s quiet beauty, folklore, and sense of belonging guide each story, sketch, and character.
Both books have become beloved comfort reads across the world, finding their way into homes, schools, libraries, hospices, and cosy bookshops.
A collection of gentle stories filled with friendship, belonging, and woodland magic.
A lyrical adventure following Rabbit’s three ancient tasks, rich with mythic wonder.
My hope is that The Glen brings you what it has always brought me:
a place to rest, to imagine, and to feel held by something gentle.
Thank you for walking these small paths with me.
