Victoria Beata is an artist and writer based on the Isle of Man, where she creates illustrated books, poetic stories, and visual narratives inspired by folklore, nature, and the soul of her island home. She is the founder of Victoria Beata Publishing and the creator of The Glen, a whimsical story world where gentle creatures and lyrical words offer comfort, imagination, and quiet joy.
Her work speaks to readers and collectors around the world—those seeking beauty, connection, and a place to pause.
Born with the soul of an artist, Victoria’s creative journey began on the Isle of Man, nurtured by the island’s natural rhythms and the guidance of esteemed Manx artists David Fletcher and Ian Coulson. She earned a BA in Fine Art from Liverpool John Moores University, grounding her practice in traditional skills and expressive storytelling.
But her work has always extended beyond the canvas.
Words have been with her since the beginning. From childhood poems and song lyrics to professional copywriting, heartfelt letters, and whimsical tales, writing has always run alongside her illustrations—inseparable from the images she creates. Raised on a love of picture books and comics, she has always believed in the magic that happens when story and image walk side by side. Over the years, Victoria’s creative expression has spanned fine art, illustration, printmaking, design, and writing. Her work has been exhibited, collected, and commissioned, and her talents have contributed to community projects.
To Victoria, art is more than a profession—it is a way of life, a calling expressed through both image and word. Her work reflects a deep reverence for nature and the quiet beauty of the everyday. Whether through a painted sky, a watchful rabbit, or a few well-chosen lines of story, she draws her audience into a space of gentle wonder and emotional resonance.
Her creations invite reflection, comfort, and joy—not just through what is seen, but through what is felt and imagined. Each piece is a moment of connection, a soft space to land, and a story waiting to be shared.
Victoria’s creative process begins in nature—walking, gardening, watching clouds shift over the hills. From there, she sketches ideas and captures reference images, allowing each concept to take root before bringing it to life through working with AI. This fusion of traditional inspiration and modern technology results in work that is both nostalgic and contemporary, personal and universal.
Today, Victoria shares her work with a global audience through her books, prints, and a creative community built around The Glen. Her debut title, Tales of The Glen, has already become a cherished keepsake among families, teachers, care homes, and kindred spirits seeking peace and gentle meaning.
Through her interactive project The Glen Gazette, she continues to connect with readers through stories, creative roles, and community-led content that brings joy and belonging to all who join. For Victoria, every creation is part of a conversation—a shared journey between the natural world, her imagination, and those who choose to walk alongside her.
Through her art and stories, Victoria invites you into The Glen—a magical place where animals speak, nature heals, and stories are shared like warm cups of tea. Whether you are here for beauty, comfort, or a meaningful gift, you are warmly welcome.
