If you have found your way here, perhaps you needed to. Perhaps the world has been a little loud lately. Perhaps you are carrying something — grief, or worry, or simply the quiet weight of a life lived mostly for others. Perhaps you cannot quite name what you need, only that you need something gentle.
Welcome to a world where stories curl and curve like a river's bend, and wonders wait with bated breath to leap into the light of your gaze. Thank you, dear friend, for stepping through the doorway of imagination. Together, let us wander the winding paths of whimsy and wisdom. Await each dispatch with the eagerness of the dawn, for it shall carry the seeds of new tales to be told and old secrets to be shared. I am so happy to have you here.
Each tale in The Glen moves slowly, as all good things do.
They are written to be read by lamplight, or whispered aloud at bedtime, or carried quietly through a difficult day. They follow the turning seasons of the Isle of Man — the frost-bright winters, the soft green springs, the wild weather rolling in off the Irish Sea — and they are woven through with Manx folklore, the old stories of this small island in the Irish Sea that has always known how to keep its magic close.
You will meet Mouse, keeper of tales and the warmest of souls. You will walk with Rabbit, steady and kind, through the woodland paths of The Glen. You will find Old Oak, and Owl, and Hedgehog with something warm from the oven, and a world that remembers what the loud world so often forgets: that small things matter very much. Read the Stories →

If you are curious about my statement. It's not an incantation or prayer, but you could think of it as a poetic invitation—a call to gather and create stories together. It reflects my creative process and the spirit behind my art. I draw inspiration from the natural world, where even the smallest leaf or gentlest breeze seems to carry its own story. Additionally, I am deeply inspired by people and their stories. The emotions, experiences, and dreams of individuals fuel my creativity and are woven into the fabric of each tale I tell. By inviting you to 'chat' and 'write a story together,' I hope to evoke a sense of communal storytelling, reminiscent of old tales shared around a fire under the stars. It's about creating a shared space where imagination and magic come alive.
Tales of the Glen has found its way into two books, both illustrated and both made to be held, returned to, and kept.
Tales of the Glen gathers eight winter fireside stories set on the Isle of Man — tales of frost and folklore, kindness and quiet courage, told as the nights draw in and the world turns still.
Rabbit: Guardian of the Glen is a gentler, slower thing — a wander through the natural world with Rabbit as your guide, noticing the beauty that patient eyes are rewarded with.
Both are available worldwide. They make a kind gift for someone who needs one. They make a kind gift for yourself, too.
The Glen is more than a book. It is a living world, and a growing community of readers who visit it daily — cup of tea in hand — for stories, creative prompts, and the simple comfort of being among people who understand the value of quiet things.
The Glen Gazette is our newsletter, written as if from Mouse and Owl themselves. It carries new stories, seasonal notes, behind-the-scenes glimpses, and gentle invitations to step a little further inside the world.
Over 100,000 readers find their way to The Glen each month. We would love for you to be one of them. Subscribe to The Glen Newsletter →
